Hyderabad: ACB traps a Superintendent in the Office of the Commissioner and Director of School Education, Saifabad, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 70,000 for processing a CBSE NOC application.
Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau officials caught Sangeena Phaniraj, Superintendent (General), when he allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe from a complainant. Officials said he received the amount through G Sridhar, Senior Assistant in the Office of the DEO, Rangareddy.
According to ACB, the accused sought the bribe to process the complainant’s school CBSE NOC certificate for the academic year 2026-2027. He allegedly agreed to forward the file to higher authorities in return for the payment.

ACB officials conducted the trap after verifying the complaint and caught the accused at the time of accepting the amount. Further investigation is underway.
