HYDERABAD: Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao commended the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for its contributions to rural development in Telangana. Speaking at the launch of NABARD’s latest report on Friday, he highlighted the institution’s role in supporting agriculture and infrastructure projects.
The minister noted that NABARD has been instrumental in funding irrigation projects, road development, and cooperative banking, directly benefiting farmers and rural communities. He stressed the need for continued collaboration between the state government and NABARD to enhance these initiatives.
Tummala also underscored the importance of timely financial assistance to farmers and self-help groups to ensure economic stability in rural areas. He urged NABARD to introduce more farmer-friendly policies aligned with Telangana’s developmental goals.
Officials from NABARD and various state departments attended the event, discussing strategies to expand rural financing and infrastructure projects.
