Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the State government released ₹745 crore to clear pending employee bills, reaffirming its commitment to fulfil promises made to employees. He said the funds were being routed through a green channel mechanism to ensure timely payments.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister, officials of the Finance department released the amount on Friday towards bills pending for the month of February. He stated that the government had assured employee unions that dues of not less than ₹700 crore would be cleared every month.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the latest release formed part of a structured effort to address pending employee bills in a phased manner. He added that ₹183 crore was released at the end of June last year. Since August last year, the government has been releasing a minimum of ₹700 crore every month to reduce the backlog.
Monthly plan to clear pending employee bills
The Deputy Chief Minister said the government remained committed to clearing pending employee bills without delay. He stressed that the monthly release mechanism was designed to bring predictability and confidence among employees.
The ₹745 crore released on Friday included payments towards gratuity, General Provident Fund (GPF), surrendered leave encashment and advances. Officials said these payments would directly benefit employees awaiting long-pending dues.
Bhatti Vikramarka reiterated that the government would continue systematically clearing dues. He said the consistent monthly releases reflected the administration’s resolve to honour its financial commitments to employees.
