2nd Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting held across government junior colleges in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Department of Intermediate Education successfully conducted the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting on Friday across all 430 Government Junior Colleges (GJCs) in Telangana.

Nearly 50,000 parents attended the second edition of the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting. The turnout exceeded the participation recorded during the previous session. Officials said the initiative aimed to strengthen coordination between colleges and families.

Parents welcomed the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure and academic quality. Principals also explained activities supporting overall student development. These included digital learning initiatives and extracurricular programmes.

Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting focuses on exams and infrastructure

During the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting, colleges shared action plans for the Intermediate Public Examinations scheduled in 2026. Faculty members outlined academic strategies to help students prepare effectively.

Officials briefed parents on the use of government grants. They highlighted investments in science laboratories, sports equipment and digital tools such as Interactive Flat Panels. Colleges also discussed student performance, attendance and classroom behaviour in detail.

The department highlighted the continued use of the Facial Recognition System and digital classrooms. Officials said these measures improved monitoring and modernised the learning environment.

The department said strong parental participation reflected growing community involvement in public education. It reiterated its commitment to improving learning outcomes through regular feedback. It also assured upgrades to facilities and a student-focused approach for the 2026 public examinations.
