Hyderabad: The Telangana Legislative Assembly on Friday notified the constitution of a 13-member Media Advisory Committee (MAC) for the 2025–27 term, aimed at strengthening coordination between the legislature and the press.
The committee was jointly approved by the Speaker of the Assembly and the Chairman of the Legislative Council. Ireddy Srinivas Reddy has been named chairman of the panel, with Poloju Paripurna Chary appointed as co-chairman. The notification was formally issued by Assembly joint secretary Ch. Upender Reddy.
Members drawn from media and communication circles have been included in the panel. The nominated members are Aitharaju Rangarao, Bodlapati Purnachandra Rao, Lakkadi Venkat Ram Reddy, Polampally Anjaneyulu, M. Pavan Kumar, Bheemanapali Ashok, Burra Anjaneyulu Goud, Surekha Abburi, Mohammed Nayeem Vajahat, Basava Punnaiah, Pramod Kumar Chaturvedi, Sunchu Ashok, and B.H.M.K. Gandhi.
The Media Advisory Committee’s role is to act as a bridge between the legislature and the media, overseeing press coverage and coordinating access to Assembly proceedings and events during its tenure.
