KCR discharged from hospital, vows to speak soon on Telangana’s water share

Kcr Water Share

Hyderabad: BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was discharged from Yashoda Hospital on Saturday morning and returned home to Nandinagar after undergoing routine health checks. Doctors ruled out any serious concerns following tests on blood sugar and sodium levels conducted after his admission on July 3.

Even while hospitalised, KCR met senior party leaders to review rural distress and irrigation issues. Leaders briefed him about erratic rainfall, shortage of fertilisers, and what they described as the government’s neglect of farmers. KCR sought details on crop conditions and water availability in several districts, saying the hardships were worse than during his administration.

BRS functionaries also raised concerns about urea scarcity and blamed the present government for ignoring the irrigation sector. KCR, responding to these inputs, announced he would soon issue a public statement on Telangana’s share of Krishna and Godavari river waters. He accused the current government of advancing incoherent arguments on water allocation and vowed to place facts before the people.

In discussions, he recalled the Telangana movement, the formation of the state, and the challenges of implementing irrigation projects.
