Hyderabad: Inflows into the Medigadda (Lakshmi) barrage, part of the Kaleshwaram project in Ambatipalli village under Mahadevpur mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, have been steadily increasing.
Officials recorded an inflow of 71,900 cusecs on Thursday, which rose to 84,900 cusecs on Friday. All 85 gates of the barrage have been lifted to release water downstream in equal measure.
The current water level at the barrage stands at 90.10 metres above mean sea level, according to engineering officials. Authorities indicated that inflows could rise further over the coming days.
