Hyderabad: BJP will hold a Tiranga Yatra at 5 p.m. on Saturday, 17 May, near Tank Bund in Hyderabad. The march is being organised following what the party called the success of Operation Sindoor.
Party sources said the yatra will be led by BJP state president and Union Minister Kishan Reddy. Retired IPS officers from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir, including those of DGP rank, are expected to take part. Former army officers, BJP leaders, and elected representatives will also join.
A large procession will be carried out with national flags, party workers said. Slogans and patriotic songs are planned as part of the event.
Kishan Reddy urged Hyderabad residents to join the rally. He said Indian soldiers had achieved a major success in the operation against Pakistan. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would not stay silent until all terrorists were eliminated. According to him, the operation showed what consequences follow any attack on India.
He claimed the Indian Army destroyed 11 key installations of the Pakistan Army. The Tiranga Yatra will begin at the Ambedkar statue on Tank Bund and continue up to the Military Tank.
