Hyderabad: A routine morning in Kunuram, Bhadrachalam turned dramatic on Wednesday as Telangana Police busted a smuggling racket and seized 9.3 kg of ganja in a targeted operation. Acting on a tip-off, officers launched a special search and nabbed three individuals reportedly ferrying the contraband.
The ganja, according to investigators, had been illegally brought in from the Andhra-Odisha border region—known for such trafficking routes. The street value of the haul has been pegged around ₹4.65 lakh.
Police also impounded two motorbikes and multiple mobile phones during the raid. All three accused are currently being questioned, with authorities working to trace the broader network and source of the ganja.
