Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka held a high-level review meeting on Wednesday to assess the situation following Operation Sindoor and a related mock drill.
The Chief Minister and Deputy CM issued several directives to strengthen preparedness in the event of a potential Indian military operation against Pakistan. They instructed officials to adopt stringent security measures across Telangana to avoid any untoward incidents.
All departments have been directed to coordinate closely to ensure uninterrupted public services and avoid inconvenience to citizens. The Chief Minister specifically enquired about the supply of essential commodities and advised officials to maintain stability in the supply chain and prevent any shortages.
Security arrangements will be intensified at all Army and Navy offices in Hyderabad, with additional measures being implemented at defence establishments throughout the city. The Chief Minister instructed police officials to tighten security at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and increase surveillance at all foreign consulates and embassies in Hyderabad. The government will also ensure the safety of foreign tourists visiting Telangana.
State intelligence units have been tasked with working closely with central intelligence agencies. A special information centre will be set up at the Command Control Centre to monitor security developments in real time.
Additionally, the Chief Minister and Deputy CM reviewed preparations for a major rally scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m., from the Secretariat to Necklace Road. They urged the youth of Telangana to participate in large numbers and show solidarity with the Indian Army.
