Hyderabad: Cyberabad Cyber Crimes Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) B. Sribala has been deputed to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan for a one-year assignment. Her selection follows a record of notable service in cyber law enforcement, including the successful handling of high-profile cyber fraud cases and digital safety initiatives.
During her tenure, Sribala led several critical operations against online financial scams, digital harassment, and cyber fraud. She also played a key role in initiating digital literacy programmes aimed at raising cyber awareness among students, professionals, and the wider public. Her leadership in these efforts has drawn national recognition.
In a farewell event held by the Cyberabad Police, Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty and other senior officials commended Sribala’s contribution and congratulated her on receiving the international posting. The event served as a moment of pride for the Telangana Police, with her deputation being seen as a reflection of India’s growing role in international peacekeeping and law enforcement.
The farewell was attended by several senior officers, including DCP Crimes L.C. Naik, DCP EOW K. Prasad, DCP Special Branch Sai Sri, DCP Women & Children Safety Wing Srujana Karnam, DCP Medchal SOT Srinivas, DCP Madhapur SOT Shoban Kumar, and ADCP Cyber Crimes Chandrakanth, among others.
