HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has declined the Telangana Public Service Commission’s (TGPSC) appeal to stay the orders issued by a single bench regarding the Group 1 recruitment process.
The TGPSC sought to overturn the interim orders issued on April 17 by Justice Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao, which had directed the Commission not to issue appointment letters while allowing the certificate verification process to proceed.
Chief Justice Alok Aradhe’s division bench heard the appeal today but refused to intervene, noting that the matter is actively under consideration by the single bench. The CJ bench said it would not interfere while the single bench is already conducting hearings and instructed that the case continue there.
The petitions filed by candidates allege serious irregularities in the Group 1 Mains evaluation and discrepancies between re-counted marks and those issued in the official memos. They also claim that exam centre allotments violated established guidelines.
TGPSC’s legal counsel had argued for quashing the single bench’s interim orders, but the CJ bench directed that all matters be decided at the single bench level. The High Court concluded the hearing on the TGPSC appeal, while further proceedings on the Group 1 petitions are scheduled for this afternoon before the single bench.
