HYDERABAD: In a significant development for job seekers, Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has announced that the Telangana government will soon issue notifications to fill vacancies in the health department. Speaking on Saturday, the minister emphasized the necessity of establishing an additional 50 dialysis centers across the state to enhance healthcare services.
He also highlighted the government’s commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure by announcing that tenders for the new Osmania Hospital building will be invited shortly. The minister underscored that these initiatives are being undertaken with a clear vision to improve medical facilities statewide.
The recruitment process for these positions is slated to commence in May. This move aims to bolster the health department’s workforce, ensuring better medical services for the populace.
Recently, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the new Osmania Hospital building. Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, and other officials, the Chief Minister performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the hospital’s construction. While the existing hospital is located in Afzalgunj, the new facility is planned at the Goshamahal Stadium.
The upcoming hospital is designed to accommodate 2,000 beds, spanning 3.2 million square feet, and will be constructed in five phases. The government has pledged to provide all services entirely free of charge. The project is estimated to cost ₹2,700 crore, with a targeted completion timeline of two years.
