HYDERABAD: Applicants possessing a ration card or food security card are not required to submit an income certificate while applying for the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, BC Corporation Managing Director Mallayya Bhattu clarified on Thursday.
In an official statement, he said that those who do not have a ration or food security card must submit the application number of the income certificate obtained through MeeSeva centres.
This clarification comes as lakhs of applicants have been flocking to MeeSeva centres to apply for caste and income certificates. Bhattu further clarified that a caste certificate issued after 2016 via MeeSeva is valid for the scheme, and there is no need to reapply if such a certificate is already available.
To ease the process, Rajiv Yuva Vikasam application forms have been made available at public service centres located in mandal and municipal offices. Applicants are encouraged to fill and submit the forms at these centres itself.
Over 7 Lakh Applications Received
The Managing Director stated that so far, over 7 lakh applications have been received for the scheme. The deadline to apply is April 14. Eligible candidates from SC, ST, BC, Minority, EBC, and Christian communities are urged to submit their applications before the deadline.
For further information, applicants have been advised to contact their respective mandal or municipal authorities.
