Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a video conference today with the Chief Ministers of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh to review progress under the PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) platform.
The agenda is expected to include discussions on major infrastructure projects, interstate water disputes, and sector-specific concerns such as railways, roads, power, mining, and tribal welfare.
The Polavaram project is likely to be a key issue, especially after objections raised by Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana during the previous review on May 28. Concerns had been voiced over flood risks and tribal land impacts.
According to officials, Andhra Pradesh’s Polavaram progress, Odisha’s ₹18,600 crore development projects, Telangana’s ₹56,000 crore infrastructure plans, and mining-related matters in Chhattisgarh will come up for review.
The Centre is aiming to use this platform to expedite critical projects through coordination between state and central agencies, and to address pending inter-state concerns.
