Telangana PCC Working President Mahesh Kumar Goud criticized Union Minister Kishan Reddy for using the SLBC tunnel tragedy to target the Congress-led state government instead of offering support.
HYDERABAD: Telangana PCC President B Mahesh Kumar Goud has strongly condemned Union Minister and BJP leader Kishan Reddy for his remarks on the SLBC (Srisailam Left Bank Canal) tunnel accident.
Addressing the media, Mahesh Goud accused Kishan Reddy of using the tragic incident to attack the Congress-led Telangana government rather than extending constructive support. “If you truly care about the people of Telangana, use your influence to bring central support for the rescue operations instead of just criticizing. Help if you can; don’t simply attack the government for political mileage,” he remarked.
He further pointed out that as a Union Minister, Kishan Reddy has the authority to expedite central assistance and facilitate better coordination between state and national agencies. “Why isn’t he using his position to bring in additional resources? This is a time for action, not blame,” Mahesh Goud added.
The TPCC Chief leader emphasised that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his administration are making every effort to rescue the trapped workers. He noted that multiple agencies, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and expert teams, are actively engaged in the operation.
