Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president and BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Sunday announced that the organisation will become a political training platform aimed at preparing youth, women, and students for public leadership.
Unveiling a poster for the training initiative titled “Leader” at her residence, MLC Kavitha said the programme is designed to empower individuals with no political background and foster clean politics through informed participation.
She said Telangana Jagruthi will hold three-day political training sessions every month across the state. The first session is scheduled for July in Hyderabad, followed by monthly programmes in districts from August.
Kavitha said the training will cover roles and responsibilities of elected representatives, methods to identify public grievances, ways to address them, and strategies for mobilising development resources.
She underscored Telangana’s tradition of critical thinking and said the same must be cultivated among future political aspirants.

She reiterated Jagruthi’s demand for 42% reservation for Backward Classes in local body elections, and called for preparing women leaders for the upcoming polls in the context of the Women’s Reservation Act.
With delimitation expected to raise the number of assembly constituencies to 153, and more Lok Sabha seats likely, Kavitha said there is a growing need for trained, capable leadership.
