HYDERABAD: A 17-year-old student from Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Khammam was found dead in her hostel room on Friday morning. The student, identified as D. Yoga Nandini, was in her first year of intermediate studies.
According to reports, her fellow students noticed the incident around 6:30 AM and immediately informed the college staff. She was taken to a government hospital in the town, where doctors confirmed that she had already passed away. The authorities then informed her family about the tragic incident.
The reasons behind the student’s suicide remain unclear. Meanwhile, student organizations staged a protest outside the hospital, demanding justice for her family.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
This incident follows a similar case from last year, when 17-year-old Kaushik Raghava, an MPC first-year student at Sri Chaitanya College in Miyapur, Hyderabad, died by suicide in his hostel room.
