HYDERABAD: In yet another tragic lift accident, a four-year-old boy lost his life after getting trapped in an elevator in Hyderabad. The incident occurred at Mujtaba Apartment in Santosh Nagar Colony, under the jurisdiction of Asif Nagar Police Station.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Surender, was the son of Shyam Bahadur, who worked as a watchman at the apartment. The six-story building also houses a men’s hostel. Surender’s family resided in a small room adjacent to the lift.
On Wednesday night, around 10 PM, Surender was playing when he accidentally got stuck between the lift doors. When his parents noticed he was missing, they searched for him and discovered him trapped in the elevator, unconscious and covered in blood.
Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the scene and shifted the child to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. The tragic incident has left the family, who had moved to Hyderabad from Nepal for livelihood, in deep grief.
