Hyderabad: A tragic incident unfolded at Anajpur Lake in Hyderabad’s Abdullapurmet area on Sunday evening, claiming the lives of a teenage girl and a young man. The girl, 17-year-old Praneeth, reportedly slipped into the lake during a family outing. In an attempt to save her, 22-year-old Indrasena Reddy entered the water and drowned.
Praneeth’s father also jumped into the Anjapur lake to rescue her, but began to drown himself. Local residents intervened in time and managed to save him, but both Praneeth and Indrasena could not be rescued.
Police and rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted. The bodies were recovered, and a case has been registered. Investigations are ongoing.
