Hyderabad: A driver died after his tipper truck caught fire on Saturday morning in Sangareddy district when it came into contact with high-tension power lines.
The incident occurred in Khajipally village while the vehicle was unloading gravel. According to police and local accounts, the driver was operating the hydraulic lift when the raised tipper body touched overhead electric wires.
The contact triggered a fire that quickly spread across the vehicle. The driver, identified as Ram Srujan from Madhya Pradesh, was trapped inside and died on the spot.
Police from the IDA Bollaram station have registered a case and opened an investigation into the incident.
