HYDERABAD, February 10: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has strongly condemned the recent attack on Sri Rangarajan, the Chief Priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple. Expressing deep anguish over the incident, he emphasized that this assault should not be viewed merely as an attack on an individual but as an affront to the protection of dharma.
Pawan Kalyan highlighted that for several decades, Rangarajan has been dedicated to safeguarding dharma and preserving the heritage and sanctity of temples. He called upon the police to thoroughly investigate the motives behind the attack, identify the perpetrators, and ensure they face stringent punishment. He also urged the Telangana government to take the incident seriously and act accordingly.
In a statement, Pawan Kalyan mentioned that members claiming to be from an organization named ‘Rama Rajya’ were involved in the assault on Rangarajan. He directed the Telangana wing of the Jana Sena Party to visit Chilkur, offer support to Rangarajan, and assure him of their solidarity during this challenging time.
The attack on Rangarajan has drawn widespread condemnation from various quarters, with many viewing it as an attack on the broader efforts to protect and uphold dharma. Authorities have been urged to take swift action to prevent such incidents in the future.
