Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday unveiled a slew of development projects totalling ₹1,051.45 crore in the Alair Assembly constituency of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, marking a major push to boost infrastructure and social welfare in the region.
Laying the foundation stone for the ₹574.56 crore Gandhamalla Reservoir, Revanth Reddy highlighted its significance in ensuring water security for local farmers and communities. “This project will transform the agricultural landscape of Alair,” he said.
The Chief Minister also announced the construction of a Young India Residential School at a cost of ₹200 crore, aiming to improve educational facilities for rural youth. “Education is the backbone of progress,” he noted, promising state-of-the-art amenities at the upcoming school.
In a move to enhance healthcare access, a ₹183 crore medical college building will come up in the area, catering to the region’s pressing need for advanced medical education and services.
Further, infrastructure improvements in Yadagirigutta Municipality including water, drainage, CC and BT roads were greenlit at an estimated cost of ₹25.50 crore. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for two bridges one at Kolanupaka village (₹7.50 crore) and another at Kalvapalli village (₹6 crore) to improve connectivity across the constituency.
Additional administrative infrastructure will be established in Motakondur mandal, where new Tahsildar, MPDO offices, and a police station will be built at a cost of ₹8.25 crore.
To support the agricultural sector, godowns with a capacity of 20,000 metric tonnes will be constructed at Datarpally village for ₹22.75 crore, while another 2,500 metric tonne capacity godown is planned at the Aleru Market Committee site for ₹2.75 crore.
The region’s road network is also set for a facelift, with BT roads across Alair Assembly segment receiving an investment of ₹21.14 crore.
