HYDERABAD: Director General and Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand played a pivotal role in ensuring the Sri Veera Hanuman Shobha Yatra concluded peacefully in the city. With extensive security arrangements and inter-departmental coordination, the yatra proceeded without incident under tight police surveillance.
Accompanied by senior officers, CV Anand inspected field-level operations and coordinated closely with organisers to ensure that all processions commenced on time. Speaking to the media, he stated that keeping in view past experiences and current conditions, the Hyderabad Police had implemented comprehensive security measures.
He acknowledged the peaceful conclusion of the recent Ram Navami Shobha Yatra and thanked the citizens of Hyderabad, devotees, and organisers for their cooperation. He expressed similar gratitude for the successful conduct of the Sri Veera Hanuman Shobha Yatra, which, he said, was made possible through joint efforts across departments and community leaders.
The processions from Rachakonda and Cyberabad Police Commissionerates began early and merged with the main yatra at Gouliguda. Sensitive areas and religious sites were given special attention, with security strengthened in consultation with leaders from VHP, Bajrang Dal, and other religious organisations. Local DCPs led operations to maintain order throughout.
To ensure a seamless and safe procession, all yatras were monitored via CCTVs and drones from the Joint Command Control Centre. A total of around 150 processions from Hyderabad City and 40 from Cyberabad and Rachakonda joined the main yatra. Security was managed by 17,000 police personnel and additional armed forces.
Traffic diversions were enforced at 45 locations to facilitate smooth movement for both the public and procession participants. The main yatra began at Sri Rama Mandir, Gouliguda, passed through Narayanaguda, RTC Crossroads, Ashok Nagar, Kavadiguda, and Bible House, and concluded at Tadbund Hanuman Temple without any disruption.
A joint control room was operational at the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s Office in the ICCC Building, Banjara Hills. Senior officials from GHMC, Roads & Buildings, Fire Services, Electricity, EMRI, TGRTC, Water Board, Transport, and Health departments were present, ensuring prompt responses and coordinated action.
CV Anand thanked everyone involved for their support and efforts in enabling the Sri Veera Hanuman Shobha Yatra to be held in a peaceful and orderly manner.
