IMD issues yellow alert for Telangana, rain likely over next four days

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Telangana, forecasting rain across several districts over the next four days. The Hyderabad weather centre confirmed that a low-pressure system persists over the northwest Bay of Bengal, concentrated near the Odisha coast.

Low-pressure system to move northwestward

The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and tilts southwestward with height. The system is expected to move northwest over the next 24 hours, influencing weather in Telangana and surrounding regions.

Rain forecast district-wise

The IMD has urged residents to remain cautious, especially in districts where heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected.
