Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Telangana, forecasting rain across several districts over the next four days. The Hyderabad weather centre confirmed that a low-pressure system persists over the northwest Bay of Bengal, concentrated near the Odisha coast.
Low-pressure system to move northwestward
The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and tilts southwestward with height. The system is expected to move northwest over the next 24 hours, influencing weather in Telangana and surrounding regions.

Wednesday: Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.

Thursday: Scattered rainfall is expected in 27 districts, including Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal, Mahbubnagar, and Kamareddy.

Friday: Rain is likely in Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Medak, Kamareddy, and Mahbubnagar districts.

Saturday: Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are forecast in Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Nizamabad.

Sunday: Scattered showers are expected in 30 districts, including Hyderabad, Hanamkonda, Jagtial, Suryapet, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Sangareddy, and Nagarkurnool.
The IMD has urged residents to remain cautious, especially in districts where heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected.
