HYDERABAD: Vigilance officials conducted raids at the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) office on Friday, following allegations related to a dispute over complimentary tickets distributed for IPL matches.
The officials arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal as part of an investigation ordered by the Chief Minister. The inquiry stems from a disagreement between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and HCA regarding the allotment of complimentary tickets.
Acting on the Chief Minister’s directive, the Vigilance and Enforcement Department initiated the probe, led by a Superintendent of Police-rank officer. The inquiry team is examining documents and records connected to the distribution of tickets.
The controversy has drawn significant attention amid the ongoing IPL season, raising concerns about transparency and accountability within the HCA’s administrative processes.
