HYDERABAD: Tension gripped Kammaguda under Tukkuguda Municipality limits after a violent clash broke out between two groups over a disputed land parcel in Survey No. 240. The confrontation erupted when one group attempted to seize the land, prompting strong resistance from local residents and plot owners.
According to reports, the conflict occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. A group of individuals arrived at the location, claiming ownership of around 10 acres spread across Survey Numbers 240, 241, and 242. Allegedly armed with court orders, they attempted to demolish free-standing boundary walls and plot markings.
Local residents and plot owners opposed the demolition, accusing the group of attempting an illegal occupation. The situation escalated quickly, leading to both sides hurling stones at each other. The plot claimants eventually fled the scene after locals forcefully resisted their efforts.
Despite the outbreak of violence and stone-pelting, police did not immediately arrive at the location, raising concerns among the residents about law enforcement response. The area remained tense following the incident.
