Telangana government issues helpline for tourists stranded in Kashmir

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has taken swift action to assist Telangana tourists stranded in Kashmir due to various reasons, by issuing special helpline numbers to ensure their safety and keep their families informed.

The state’s Departments of Tourism and Revenue jointly released the helpline numbers, urging all Telangana residents currently in Kashmir to contact the authorities and report their location and situation. This would allow the government to make necessary arrangements for their safe return.

The following helpline numbers have been made available:

  • 9000289188

  • 7997950617

Officials stated that the helplines will operate 24/7 and every call or message will receive an immediate response. Tourists have been advised to remain calm and cooperate fully with the local administration.

The initiative has been widely appreciated by the public and political circles alike. Leaders including K.T. Rama Rao have expressed satisfaction with the government’s prompt response.

The government has also announced that it will remain in constant contact with all Telangana tourists in Kashmir until their return is ensured, pledging every possible assistance during this period.
