Hyderabad: The Telangana government is extending logistical support to citizens returning from conflict zones in the Middle East, following directions from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Officials said the state continues to closely monitor developments and facilitate safe transit for residents returning from affected regions.
On Saturday midnight, six Telangana students—four from Iran and two from Israel—arrived in Delhi. They were received and assisted by Telangana Bhavan officials, who provided accommodation and ensured they safely boarded their flights to Hyderabad early Monday morning.
Officials expect seven more Telangana citizens to arrive in Delhi on Monday night. The group, which crossed over from Israel into Amman, Jordan, is scheduled to reach India soon. Arrangements are being made to receive them at the airport and provide necessary assistance during their transit.
Meanwhile, several Telangana residents still stranded in Israel face delays due to the closure of Israeli airspace. The state government said it remains in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian embassies to facilitate their return.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to ensure timely support, shelter, and onward travel for every returning resident. The government has urged citizens to follow verified communication channels and assured continued assistance for those affected.
