HYDERABAD: The Telangana State has experienced a significant rise in temperatures, prompting the Hyderabad Meteorological Department to issue an orange alert for 15 districts. After a week of relief due to thunderstorms and hailstorms, the mercury has surged by 3 degrees Celsius above normal in several areas as of Thursday.
The districts under the orange alert include Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Khammam, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, and Wanaparthy. In these regions, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 41°C and 44°C over the next four days.
In the remaining districts, temperatures are anticipated to hover between 36°C and 40°C. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to cope with the heat, including staying hydrated and avoiding exposure during peak afternoon hours.
