HYDERABAD: The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, concluded recently, finalizing the state’s Annual Budget for 2025-26. Finance Minister and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented the budget proposal during the meeting, which was subsequently approved by the Cabinet.
Following the Cabinet’s approval, Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will present the Telangana Annual Budget 2025-26 in the Legislative Assembly. In the Legislative Council, Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu will introduce the budget on behalf of the government.
This will be the second full-fledged budget of the Congress Government since coming into power. As a result, both the public and opposition parties are keenly awaiting the government’s financial decisions and policy directions.
A key focus of this budget is the implementation of the Six Guarantees promised by the Congress during elections. The state government is expected to make significant allocations for various welfare schemes under these guarantees. Additionally, the budget is likely to include major announcements concerning government employees and ongoing state projects.
According to sources, Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is expected to present a ₹3.20 lakh crore budget for the 2025-26 financial year. The details of sector-wise allocations and government priorities will be revealed in the budget presentation.
