Hyderabad: Telangana’s tech ambitions got a fresh push on Tuesday with the launch of Evergent Technologies’ Global Value Centre in Nanakramguda’s Financial District, a move the state hopes will fuel its vision of becoming a hub for the AI future.
The minister described the launch as a testament to the state’s growing appeal among global tech players and a concrete step toward its goal of becoming a national hub for artificial intelligence. He lauded Evergent for investing in the city and confirmed that the new centre has already created 600 jobs, with hiring expected to hit 1,000 in the coming months.
Speaking at the event, Minister Sridhar Babu revealed that Telangana had pulled in ₹3 lakh crore in investments over the past 18 months under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership. He laid out plans for a 200-acre AI City within Hyderabad’s upcoming Future City—an ambitious move aimed at putting the state at the forefront of cutting-edge tech fields like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and quantum computing.
The minister also emphasised the government’s commitment to upskilling youth and backing startups with bold ideas. “We’re building Telangana not just as an innovation hub, but as a launchpad for the next generation of tech leaders,” he said.
The event saw participation from senior officials, including IAS officer Bhavani Sri, IT advisor Saikrishna, and Evergent’s founder and CEO, Vijay Sajja, who expressed confidence in Telangana’s long-term vision for the digital economy.
