Shabbir Ali attends Iftar in Nizamabad, distributes welfare scheme cheques

HYDERABAD: Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir attended an Iftar gathering organized by TNGO employees at NTR Chowrasta, Nizamabad, where he offered special prayers.

Speaking at the event, Shabbir Ali expressed happiness in celebrating the holy month of Ramadan with government employees and extended his best wishes to the Muslim community. He also reiterated the Congress government’s commitment to minority welfare, emphasizing that it came to power with the support of employees. He urged the Muslim community to offer special prayers for Telangana’s progress under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Earlier in the day, Shabbir Ali, along with Nizamabad Urban MLA Dhanapal Suryanarayana Gupta and NUDA Chairman Kesha Venu, distributed Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak cheques at Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium in Nizamabad. He announced that Rs 1.46 crore had been distributed to 146 beneficiaries under Kalyana Lakshmi, while Rs 4.19 crore was given to 419 beneficiaries under Shaadi Mubarak, making a total of Rs 5.65 crore provided to eligible families.

Despite financial challenges, Shabbir Ali assured that the Congress government is fulfilling its promises and implementing key welfare schemes. These include LPG cylinders at Rs 500, 200 units of free electricity, free bus travel for women, the Indiramma housing scheme, farm loan waivers, Rythu Bharosa for farmers, and job opportunities under the Yuva Vikasam programme.
