Hyderabad, January 29: Tribal Welfare Minister Seethakka has emphasised the continued existence of disparities in education and development, calling for united efforts to eliminate these gaps. She highlighted the need to strengthen human values and relationships through education, noting that changing circumstances have weakened human connections.
Speaking as the chief guest at an event organised by the Vidya Dhan Foundation on Wednesday, Seethakka stated that education is the most valuable asset in life. She recalled that the Manmohan Singh government introduced the Right to Education Act, mandating compulsory education for children aged 6 to 14. She commended the Vidya Dhan Foundation for its commendable work in expanding knowledge by sharing education and assured the government’s support in providing education to the underprivileged.
Reflecting on her personal journey, Seethakka shared that after completing her tenth grade, she spent a decade in anonymity. Upon returning, she resumed her studies with determination, completing LLB, LLM, MA, and PhD degrees. Despite her roles as an MLA and minister, she has not halted her educational pursuits and plans to enrol in an MA course in the upcoming academic year. She concluded by stating that among all forms of charity, the gift of education is supreme, as it enhances knowledge for millions and contributes to societal development.
