Hyderabad: A major mishap was averted near Domalapenta in Amrabad mandal of Nagar Kurnool district after a mini bus carrying pilgrims from Hyderabad to Srisailam overturned following a brake failure.
The vehicle was carrying around 40 passengers when it lost control near the Domalapenta bus stand. According to police, the bus first hit two oncoming cars before overturning.
Several passengers sustained serious injuries in the accident. Police and local residents responded swiftly to the scene and helped shift the injured to the Genco Hospital in Domalapenta.
The group was travelling in a private mini bus when the incident occurred. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
