The state government has assured McDonald’s of full support to facilitate a smooth setup and expansion.
The Chief Minister also highlighted Telangana’s initiatives in skill development over the past 15 months. He recommended that McDonald’s utilize the services of Young India Skills University to recruit and train skilled employees. He further suggested that trained individuals from the university be placed in McDonald’s global offices and outlets across India and abroad.
Revanth Reddy urged McDonald’s to source agricultural products locally to support Telangana’s farmers. He expressed confidence that such a move would enhance farmers’ income and contribute to the state’s agricultural economy.
McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski acknowledged Hyderabad’s advantages over cities like Bengaluru, citing its skilled workforce, superior infrastructure, and high quality of life as key reasons for selecting the city as the location for the India Global Office.
He also discussed McDonald’s global community development initiatives and expressed interest in implementing similar programs in Telangana with government collaboration.
Currently, Telangana has 38 McDonald’s outlets, with plans to expand by adding three to four new outlets annually. The establishment of the India Global Office is expected to generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for local youth.
