HYDERABAD: BJP floor leader in Telangana Legislative Assembly A. Maheshwar Reddy criticised the Congress government, alleging a lack of sincerity in addressing Backward Classes (BC) issues. He accused the ruling party of delaying local body elections due to fear of defeat and using caste census and Assembly resolutions as stalling tactics.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, Maheshwar Reddy demanded legal validity for the Kamareddy BC Declaration. He claimed that the Congress party’s actions reflected hesitation rather than a genuine commitment to BC welfare.
Maheshwar Reddy urged the government to ensure fair representation and transparency in BC reservations.
