HYDERABAD: Telangana people have been severely deceived for trusting a fraudulent leader like Revanth Reddy, said BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) during a party workers’ meeting held in Malkajgiri.
KTR criticised Revanth Reddy for making false promises and accused the Congress party of offering illogical assurances that have thrown people’s lives into disarray. He warned that while being deceived once may be the fault of the deceiver, being repeatedly misled reflects poorly on the people themselves. Urging the public, he said that Congress must be rejected in all upcoming elections, regardless of the nature of the poll.
He called upon the people to teach the Congress a lesson in the GHMC elections. “Do not repeat the same mistake. Reject the Congress not only in GHMC but in every upcoming election,” he appealed.
Mocking the state of governance, KTR remarked that although the state is facing widespread backwardness, Revanth Reddy alone appears to be enjoying himself. “Due to Revanth’s rule, even ministers, MLAs, and party workers are dissatisfied. The condition of the common people doesn’t even need to be explained. This is the result of their failed governance,” he said.
He praised Malkajgiri MLA Rajasekhar Reddy for continuously working among the people to resolve local issues. KTR acknowledged his efforts in addressing key concerns such as the dumping yard and raising his voice against government failures. “He has proven that electing a good leader can bring meaningful change,” he stated.
Emphasising the need to hold both the Congress and BJP accountable, KTR said that no matter the election or occasion, the people of Telangana must now teach these parties a lesson. He asserted that to protect the soul and self-respect of Telangana, only the BRS can instil confidence among the public.
KTR called on party workers to ensure the grand success of the upcoming silver jubilee celebrations. “Let us celebrate the silver jubilee on the 27th of this month with grandeur. Every worker understands the significance of completing 25 years as a political party. We are proud to be the second party to achieve this milestone in the Telugu states,” he said.
Ahead of the meeting, BRS workers organised a massive rally to welcome KTR. Several leaders from Congress and BJP joined BRS in KTR’s presence.
