HYDERABAD, February 8: In the wake of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) significant lead in the Delhi Assembly elections, Union Minister and Telangana BJP President Kishan Reddy convened a crucial meeting with the party’s Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in Hyderabad on Saturday. During the session, Reddy emphasized the importance of capitalizing on the positive momentum from Delhi to achieve success in the forthcoming Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections in Telangana.
Addressing the attendees, Reddy highlighted that the BJP’s anticipated victory in Delhi reflects the nation’s trust in the party’s commitment to honest governance. He urged Telangana BJP leaders to channel this momentum and public confidence into the state’s political landscape. “The nation believes that sincere governance is possible only with the BJP,” Reddy stated, underscoring the party’s reputation for integrity.
He further instructed the MPs and MLAs to work diligently to secure wins in the three MLC seats up for election in Telangana. “With the same enthusiasm, we should aim to win the MLC elections,” Reddy directed, encouraging leaders to engage with the electorate effectively.
The meeting saw the participation of prominent figures, including Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, MPs K. Laxman, D.K. Aruna, Raghunandan Rao, and several BJP MLAs. Their discussions centered on strategies to strengthen the party’s presence in Telangana, leveraging the current favorable political climate.
The BJP’s performance in the Delhi Assembly elections has been noteworthy, with the party leading in a majority of seats after a prolonged period. Concurrently, key leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), including Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi, and Manish Sisodia, are trailing in their respective constituencies, indicating a significant shift in the political dynamics of the national capital.
Reddy’s call to action reflects the BJP’s broader strategy to consolidate its influence across various states by building on recent electoral successes and addressing regional political challenges.
