HYDERABAD, January 31: Kerala Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has made serious allegations against BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, claiming her involvement in a liquor scam in Kerala. He stated that the case resembled the Delhi liquor policy scam.
Addressing the Kerala Assembly, Satheesan alleged that Kavitha played a crucial role in the matter and personally handled key dealings during her visit to the state. He accused Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Excise Minister of granting liquor manufacturing permits arbitrarily to Oasis, a company based in Palakkad.
Satheesan’s statements have sparked political controversy in Kerala, drawing parallels with the ongoing investigation into the Delhi excise policy case, where Kavitha has also been named. Meanwhile, there has been no official response from Kavitha or the Telangana BRS leadership regarding these fresh allegations.
