Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday lashed out at the Congress government, accusing it of betraying the very employees who played a key role in the creation of Telangana. Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, she alleged that the Congress had failed to honour the commitments it made to government employees before the elections.
Expressing deep concern over the plight of the state’s workforce, Kavitha said the employees felt humiliated and ignored despite their sacrifices for Telangana’s formation. “Before the elections, the Congress made tall promises about employee welfare,” she pointed out. “They assured immediate release of pending DAs and other benefits, but after forming the government, they have delivered nothing but disappointment.”
Kavitha said that while the government had released only one DA so far, employees continued to suffer under the burden of unfulfilled commitments. “The government’s attitude has left employees disillusioned and demoralised,” she remarked.
She demanded that the Congress government urgently release all pending DAs and fulfil every promise made to the employees. “They deserve justice and respect, not empty assurances,” she said, adding that the government owed it to the employees who had stood by the state through its most challenging times.
