Hyderabad: Rising inflows from upstream rainfall have led to an increase in water levels at the Jurala project in Telangana. Authorities have opened the project gates, releasing significant outflows into the Srisailam reservoir.
Officials said 60,587 cusecs of water have been released from Jurala to Srisailam.
The water level at Srisailam stood at 854.20 feet on Saturday, against a full reservoir level of 885 feet. Authorities expect further rise in the coming days.
Precautionary measures are in place on both banks, officials added.
