Telangana High Court directs Siddipet police to clarify the delay in filing a case against MLC Teenmaar Mallanna over alleged remarks.

Telangana HC Seeks Police Clarification on Teenmaar Mallanna Case

HYDERABAD, February 8: The Telangana High Court has directed Siddipet police to provide a clarification regarding the registration of a case against MLC Teenmaar Mallanna (Chintapandu Naveen), journalist turned politician. The court’s directive follows a petition filed by law student Aravind Reddy, who alleged that Mallanna made remarks targeting a specific community.

The petitioner claimed that despite lodging a complaint, the police failed to register a case. He urged the court to instruct authorities to initiate legal proceedings against Mallanna.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the High Court ordered Siddipet police to submit a report explaining their stance by February 21.

Additionally, the court sought clarification from the state government regarding its position on the case. The next hearing has been scheduled for February 21.
