HYDERABAD: BJP leader and Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, warning that if he continues suppressing student protests like former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), he will face the same political downfall.
Referring to the recent Osmania University circular banning protests on campus, Rajender accused Revanth Reddy of adopting dictatorial policies. “Osmania University has been the backbone of Telangana movements. Suppressing students will backfire. KCR ignored their voices and got locked in his farmhouse—Revanth, the same fate awaits you,” he declared.
Rajender demanded an immediate rollback of the controversial circular and the unconditional release of arrested students. He asserted that the right to protest is fundamental and any attempt to curb it will lead to severe consequences for the ruling Congress government.
His remarks have ignited a political storm, intensifying the face-off between the BJP and Congress over student rights and governance in Telangana.
