Hyderabad: Cracking the whip on substandard food practices, Deputy Mayor Srimathi Mothe Srilatha Sobhan Reddy conducted surprise inspections across hotels and tiffin centres in Tarnaka division on Thursday, urging strict compliance with hygiene norms.
During the inspections, the Deputy Mayor scrutinised food preparation areas, storage practices, and the overall cleanliness maintained by establishments. She engaged with hotel owners and staff, stressing that ensuring top-notch food quality and adhering to food safety regulations was non-negotiable.
Speaking to the press, Srimathi Mothe Srilatha Sobhan Reddy underscored that safeguarding public health is a collective responsibility. “Every hotel and food stall must prioritise quality and hygiene. This is not just about business, but about protecting the health of our citizens,” she stated.
She further emphasised that consumers deserve safe, high-quality meals. “Our aim is to build trust by enforcing standards that keep food clean and safe. Hoteliers must remember that the well-being of the public comes first,” she added.
The Deputy Mayor concluded that these inspections were essential for ensuring public health and instilling confidence among consumers, making it clear that the administration would continue to monitor and enforce food safety regulations rigorously.
