HYDERABAD, February 13: A heated exchange erupted between Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Congress leaders on social media following the recent plaster collapse incident at the Telangana Secretariat. The incident, which damaged a vehicle parked outside, has sparked political controversy, with both parties blaming each other.
BRS leaders criticised the Congress government for alleged negligence in maintaining the newly built Secretariat. They questioned the quality of construction and demanded accountability from the ruling party. In response, Congress leaders countered that the building was constructed under the previous BRS government and accused them of overlooking structural issues.
The online war intensified with leaders from both sides posting statements, videos, and images to support their claims. BRS called the incident an example of Congress’s failure in governance, while Congress accused BRS of poor planning during construction.
The Secretariat damage has now become a political flashpoint, with both parties using it to target each other ahead of upcoming legislative discussions. Meanwhile, officials have stated that an inspection is underway to assess the extent of the damage and necessary repairs.
