Hyderabad: A massive fire tore through Durodine Industries in Jinkalawada, Sanathnagar, early Thursday morning, gutting the facility and sending thick plumes of smoke drifting over nearby neighborhoods.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. and spread rapidly through the industrial unit. Within minutes, flames had taken over the premises, while heavy black smoke rose high enough to be seen from blocks away.
Fire services deployed six engines and a robotic firefighting unit to the scene. Crews worked for hours to bring the blaze under control.
Officials have not confirmed the cause of the incident. Preliminary suspicion points to a short circuit.
Significant property damage was reported. No casualties were confirmed at the time of reporting.
