Hyderabad: A moving lorry caught fire on the Bhongir–Chityal highway Tuesday morning, disrupting traffic and triggering panic in Telangana’s Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.
The vehicle was travelling towards Valigonda when flames erupted between Nathalgudem and Akhampally under Valigonda mandal. The driver and cleaner pulled over and escaped unhurt.
As the blaze spread, vehicles stalled along the stretch, causing heavy congestion. No injuries were reported.
Police arrived on scene and brought the situation under control. Investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
