Hyderabad: Congress leaders and civil society members held a candlelight vigil at the Ambedkar Statue on Tank Bund on Saturday evening in memory of those killed in the Ahmedabad plane crash.
The event was organised by TPCC spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin and attended by several party functionaries, including former PCC president V. Hanumantha Rao, Corporator Vijaya Reddy, Feroz Khan, Mujahid Alam Khan, and former Corporator Wajid Hussain.
The gathering observed a minute of silence and lit candles in remembrance of the deceased. Public representatives and citizens present at the site conveyed messages of condolence and solidarity.
Speakers said the vigil was meant to honour the memory of those who lost their lives and to express collective grief. They stated that the Congress party stands with the bereaved families and will offer all necessary support.
