Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday extended heartfelt Bakrid greetings to the Muslim community, highlighting the festival’s enduring message of sacrifice and devotion.
In a statement issued from his office, Revanth Reddy recalled the unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim (Assalam), who, in obedience to Allah’s command, was prepared to sacrifice his son a story that continues to inspire millions of Muslims worldwide during Bakrid.
“Bakrid is a festival that embodies the spirit of sacrifice, faith and devotion,” the Chief Minister said. “It reminds us that life’s challenges can be overcome by treading the right path with unwavering trust in God.”
He further noted that the festival carries a timeless message for humanity: to share one’s blessings with others, especially those less fortunate. “There is no greater charity than giving from what we have,” he said, urging citizens to uphold the values of compassion and solidarity that define Bakrid.
